INTRO TO DSTUBE

WHAT IS IT?
`````````````````````````````````````````
DSTube is a homebrew application developed specifically for the Nintendo DS system. You might have been wondering
about the PC version known as YouTube
Well yes that is where DSTube is been derived and this Specific version is been made as well for the system.
It acts as a media center where you can browse your favorite video and download it to your Nintendo DS(lite).
How Does it work
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````
First of all, to use this application you need some addition requirement for you Nintendo ds(lite);

SLOT 1
--------------------------
A NDS Storage devices,also known as a Flashcart

A required Micro SD memory cards (but some flashcart does not require it)

An Expansion Memory Pak (very optional)

SLOT 2
--------------------------
A GBA compatible Flashcart ( with optional onboard RAM)

A memory card (CompactFlash or SecureDigital)

A Passme Device (or wifime)

If you have all these things , then you are set to go. Here is how it works;

OPTION 1- First, you browse for videos you want from the main menu then you download then into your storage devices directly and save it then launch it with moonshell which will also be included with the application.

OPTION 2- To make it easier ,safe, and fast, if you have an optional memory expansion like opera browser or EZ Flash 3-in-1 Slot 2 you can always download the video temporarily into the available ram and stream from there without writing again into your card which will also saves you time to watch many short videos at a time.

Proggressive Info
````````````````````````````````````````````````
The project is still at the developing stage and not yet ready to be tested or release. And there is no prediction for the first demo release date yet also.
As of now there is no guarantee yet that it will support every card in its early release .
And Please always check back for more update.
YOU CAN LEAVE COMMENT ON WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT AND SUGGESTION.
Thank you.
I don't want to burst your bubble, but....
You will only be able to view .dpg on the ds, and everything you want to view will have to be converted to that format. Also, to download a video clip over ds wifi will be slow, not many people will be happy with sitting and waiting 10 minutes for a 2 minute clip to download. Also this has been thought of many times before and rejected many times also because of these reasons.
lol yes the file will be in dpg format of course but i tell you that videos on database dont have to exceed limited size, of course most of the video have to be small files. like music videos , approximately 3 to 4 minutes, funny vidoes, and short clip,
This is not intend to download a 20 to 30 minute video of course.
In fact options might also be available to download low or high resolution.
OH and by the because the project name might be familiar to the popular youtube website but it is not intended to view all youtube videos on it, NO . This is a seperate application with a standalone database server.
An restriction to file size will be considered at all cost.
And also with the ability to convert 3gp or 3p2 mobile video format to dpg (which is possible using Super C programming), the video file will shortly be in samll sizes (at lease 2500KB of 3gp video format=3 to 4 minute of video viewing) but of course the quality might not be that great but at least its a stat of a new thing. With more support from people who are willing to take a shot at this project, everything should be able to work out fine as expected. THANK YOU
